After merely giving these guys 5-stars and calling it good because it was fast, and then receiving a thank you for giving them my minimum, I couldn't let that go. So, here's my written review: Silverlake seems to be much more than just a competent place to have a vehicle repaired. Of course, when you're broken down on the side of the road, (if you're like me), the number one concern that you have in mind is, "Okay. Who's not a greasy criminal around here, who can do something about this?". THAT is the minimum. And these days, even the minimum is hard enough to find, that we cheerfully accept it when we do. With this in mind, my experience with Silverlake (on Sherman, specifically) was actually surprising. Typically, you walk in, pay the piper, get your keys and move on with your life. With me, the bill was about a quarter of what I had expected and the mechanics took the time to explain in detail, what was wrong and how it was repaired. I then fully understood that it was entirely possible that they could have ripped me off by making other, unnecessary repairs, and didn't. I know at least a dozen other places that wouldn't have been able to fight that temptation. Nobody likes having their vehicle towed to a garage, and Silverlake understands this better than any other business that I've dealt with. They will take very good care of you and your vehicle. If you're on the side of the road right now, browsing reviews, allow me to leave no doubt whatsoever, that these are the mechanics that you're looking for!
Thank you for the positive, five-star rating! We appreciate it.
